March market pics

Market Day today!
The weather was beautiful, my clothes were looking beautiful, the people were beautiful but they were just not buying today! Oh well next month. It was nice to be out in the sunshine though.
That's my stall tucked back in the corner.
Below are the NEW winter long sleeved T's
I have called this collection the "WINTER GARDEN" collection.
Red Apples and Green Pears for the Girls. They co-ordinate beautifully with the boot leg pants or with the German village pink wide leg pants.
Blue or Red Owl's for the Boys.
Miss Macas dolly was used again to model the new boot leg pants and the new Winter Garden tunic blouse.
Luckily I was able to escape the house this morning with dolly before Miss Maca saw I was taking her, or there would have been tears.
She sat very nicely for me today beside her manikin boyfriend wearing Little Mr Macas prototype Maxi Stripe pants.
No orders were taken for them! Oh well, I hope they will be a hit on the website.
A close up of one of the Red Owls on Trees patches.
This design is one of Saffron Craig's fabric panels that I purchase form Kelani Fabric. Saffron Craig is and Australian designer who hand screen prints her fabric in Australia on 100% cotton. Pre-shrunk and colour safe.
Each owl patch is different and I am only making one in each size. Very Unique indeed!

Below is the "German village pink Wide Leg Pants" also part of the new Winter Garden Collection.
The German village pink fabric from Kelani Fabric is actually on the cuff of these pants.

I hope your having a lovely weekend.
More pics of the collection to come soon.

On the hunt for Red White and Blue

I have been on the hunt for some Red White and Blue medium weight fabric to make my Boy's winter pants. I looked high and low, even searching in Shepparton Lincraft when I was up that way visiting family, Spotlight, at the stitches and craft show, online and then I came across this....
at Tessuti in Sydney so I called the girls (Kate was very helpful over the phone, thanks heaps) to see if they could send me a sample. The Maxi Stripe Fabric is actually Red, Cream and Black but I have archived the look I was after. They will go great with my long sleeved boys tops that I'm working on at the moment. I'll show you one next post!

Don't these pants on Little Mr Maca look so funky retro.

These Maxi Stripe pants will be available soon on the web as part of the new winter collection. Or if you have spied this post and can't wait to get your hands on a pair then e-mail me or leave a post.
I will be making one of each size 00, 0, 1, 2 & 3

Stitches and craft show

It has been over a week since the stitches and craft show now, but my head is still spinning form the very short time I had there on the Friday. My mum (a life member of the C.W.A. and a keen crafter) came from Shepparton on the train to be by my side as we cruised the aisle's and went ohhh and ahh at all the lovely things.

The Kelani Fabric stand was high on my list to visit, and to see the people behind the many blogs that I have been spending way too much time reading instead of doing more sewing and working on my own website/blog. There is not enough time in the day!!!!!!! or night.

I managed to pick up some lovely fabric from Tegan Rose in person!(Antique keys in olive and chocolate& Antique keys in dusty pink and white). Meeting the girls behind Ink & Spindle was a real buzz especially because they have a new studio in Kensington which is just down the road from me. I hope to pop in some day soon to see what lovely thing they are up to.

The Birch Forest Dusty Pink and Olive by Lara Cameron I saw at Kelani and just had to have. This will compliment my stash for some very cool pants for next spring summer's range.

More winter fabric

Yummm.................... just take a look at these fabulous colours for my winter collection 09.

I have some fantastic ideas for this lot.
Some winter clothing has already been sold prior to going onto the web.
Several times I have been asked "where did you get those pants" and well yes that is my cue to put in a small plug for the business. Little Miss and Mr Macka are great little advertisers without realy trying.

Winter Fabric

I have also just received some fabulous fabric yesterday from Elissa at Kelani Fabric Obsession for my new winter clothes. Miss Macka will be the first to try it out. I will show you a preview very soon of things to come.

Finger Painting Pink & Green

I have just received some more of the finger painting pink and green fabric from Duckcloth. So I will be able to make 2 more pairs of light weight denim pants. Keep an eye out for them on the web.

Drafting Patterns

I know it has been a long time, but I have been busy drafting some new pants patterns and adjusting my sizing to have consistency between the styles.
I have been working on a new boot leg pants pattern that will be coming really soon with the winter range which is still in its drafting stage. (I know, I know, everyone else is so organised!! I'm not.)
Sizes 00, 0, 1, 18months, 2 & 3 will be available
I will be trailing the new size 3 bootleg pattern on Miss Macka shortly and I will give you sneak peak at what is to come.

My Baking paper is used much more frequently for patterns than for cooking!!!

If you were wondering, Miss Macka's plaster is off now and she is back to playing full steam ahead. I just need Mr Macka back from another stint in Hospital!!!
Until next time XX
